    fought in this battle were found about a quarter of a mile from the fort. From this forth and its owner Dunowen is called which means "Owens's Forth"
    Owen was called the "Beacacáin" by the people of the town-land as he used come every seven years to Dunowen lamenting for his daughter who was stolen from him by another chieftan.
