  1. The Sun
    When the sun rises very clean and bright, or with the sky about it tinged with red, are signs of rain in near future.
    When is is difficult to look at the sun at any period of the day, also a sign of bad weather.
    On the other hand when the sun at sunrise is surrounded by clouds but brightens later on, fine weather may be expected, and when sun sets in a red sky, the morrow is sure to by fine.
    The moon
    When the new moon is seen "lying on her back" [drawing on page] a sign of very broken weather to ensue at least until the next phase of the moon. Also - Saturday's moon comes seven years too soon - that is if new moon be on Saturday, bad
