A ring around the moon is also a sign of broken weather and if the ring be large gales to be expected and the larger the circle the nearer the storm.The Stars
When stars appear very numerous and bright and sparkling a change of weather soon to be expected.
But if the "milky way" be clearly defined and a slight breeze be blowing directly across it, good weather is portended.
When stars appear few and far between even though the sky be unclouded, fine weather is to come.
The evening star bright and clear - is a sign of fine weather also(continues on next page)
