- One night a man was going for the priest for his mother who was dying. As she was almost at her last gasp he took a short-cut from Clontade to Kinsale where he was going for the priest. As he was passing Clontade Graveyard he saw a woman clothed in flames crossing the tombs, picking bone with her black teeth.
When he reached the priest's shack in Cork Street he threw a handful of pebbles at the window. It was the signal that he was wanted for the last Sacrament.
