There is a giant buried in Carrigafooka. They call the place Direens.

There are holly trees growing over the place where he is buried. It is said that there is gold buried with him. Some men were digging one day to get it and the minute they started digging there were stones and earth thrown at them. They could not see where they came from. They ran away and anyone never came near it again.
