This was called "boot". In former times the local markets were held at Coachford and Rooves Bridge, these markets are discontinued now. The names of the huxters or egg men in this district in olden times Mrs Connell Mr Tom Forde Mr Mick Healy and Mr Tade Hallern. The names of the huxters in the district at present are Mrs Moynahan and Mr Healy.
