    In the village of Coachford, there lives a man, now in business and was once renowned for his famous feats and rose to be the World's Champion in 1932. The following are a list of his successes,:-
    Tailteann Games 1932.
    1st Prize = 16 lb Hammer
    Second = 16 lb Shot

    Late John O'Grady of Limerick got first the same day.
    A.A.A Championship White City London
    1st = 16 lb Hammer
    Garda Record for hammer 158ft 1½ inches held from 1932 until broken by O'Doherty in 1937.
    International Contests between Ireland and France held in Dublin in 1931.

    International Contests between Ireland and Scotland in Edinburgh in 1932.
    1st = Hammer
    Won several Munster and Leinster Championships also Kerry Co Champ and Cork Co Champ.
