  1. Cuchulainn was born in Dún Dealgan. He was a nephew of Conor Mac Nesa's. At this time when he heard that the Red Branch Knights were in Eamhain Macha he went to Eamhain Macha. He took with a camain and a ball and a toy spear. He used to strike the ball with the spear and the camain.
When he reached Eamhain Macha the boys were playing ball in the field and he rushed and took the ball from them. The boys were very angry but Cuchulainn chased them into the tent and upset the king's table where he was playing Chess in the tent. The king was very angry and asked Cuchulainn who he was and Cuchulainn said he was his nephew and then he made Cuchulainn their leader.
