  2. "The Madman's Road" is a mile outside Blarney. It is in the townland of (of) Boolypatrick and nin the parish of Blarney. It is so called because once two madmen escaped from the Mental Hospital and were hunted everywhere by the police but could not be caught. One day one of them was seen on this road. The polise hunted him and he ran down the road. It so happened that the other madman was coming up the road. Their clothes were torn and their faces were black. When the madmen met they got frightened of each other and ran away from each other and the were caught by
