- The walls of the old houses were made of clay mixed with rushes and made into a tough substance It was piled up with a pitch fork.
A hole was left for a door and small windows were cut by means of a hay knife. Whe[?] the walls reached the required height, the rafters were put on. They were tied with sugans known as "taobans."
