  1. There are four forges in the parish of Kanturk, three of which are situated in Percival St. Kanturk and the other is situated in Watergate Street. Mr Cronin and Mr O'Connell are the smiths in a large forge which is owned by Miss Buckley. In two of the other forges the smiths are Buckleys of the same family. The smith in the other forge is Mr. O'Connor. These people's families were smiths long ago. There is also a forge
