Wooden ploughs were used long ago in the locality but they are not used now locally. Spades are not made locally but they are got in shops in towns. The potatoes are cut into parts called 'Sgoileáns.' Each 'sgoileán' must have an eye, as from the eye the stalk springs forth. The local people help each other to set and dig the potatoes.During the time between the setting season and the digging season care is taken of the potatoes. They are sprayed with a spraying machine.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
