    pieces of ribbon are sewn on.
    They are worn from Saint Patrick's Day to Lady Day on March 25th when they are burned.
    Boys Crosses are made of a circular piece of paper, coloured with yellow, red, green, and blue.
    They get the yellow, from the yolk of an egg, the red, by bleeding their fingers, and the green by "clewing" a piece of grass, and the blue from the blue-bag. The boys wore their Crosses in front of their caps.
