    In Dublin's regal city I wandered many a day.
    It seemed so gay and beautiful where numbers meet and stray.
    I stayed beside Blackwater's tide and heard the billows roar.
    And my poor heart flies back again to pleasures to Rathmore.
    II
    In dreams I often do behold its valley long and wide.
    Caherbarnagh's purple mountains the Blackwater's rushing tide.
    Killarney's lakes show beautiful and towards the Eagle's nest.
    the spot where I was born its the spot I love the best.
