  1. There was a ghost seen above Lacka cross by Murphy of "Cnoca-Uí-Ruairc." He was going up the road one day with a horse and car and he met her. She said that she was tired and she took one jump into the car. After a while she put her hands around him and she started squeezing him to death until he came to a house in which a man named Tade Cremin lived. He came out and saved the man. She said she would meet him again and she did. He was coming home from Kanturk and she appeared on the road before him and he dropped dead.
