    In the days of the stage-coach before trains were used for the carriage of live stock the stock - cows, calves, pigs etc. were driven to Cork . * Timothy Herlihy, Inchabeg, Rathmore at whose house the "Mail-Coach Stable was, informed me that pigs etc were driven to Cork from places away back in Kerry. Potatoes were used to lure the animals
