Michael Donnely and Mrs Sharpe (who called during my visit and John OConnell's daughter who was present agreed that the Round at Nohoral and the Holy Well was the best of all - even better than Ballyvourney they said.

We discussed the "Pound" and the Pound-keeper Murty O'Sullivan who was supposed to be of Owen Roe's family - Murty was a native of Killarney and his granson Patrick Breen is now living at the "Pound". In our talks about Owen Roe, Michael Donnely told me the following "You know Old Johnny Singleton - well, Johnny told me that when he was a boy an Auctioneer named Warren from Killarney, came to 'cant'[?] hay in Park. Warren stood on the road and pointing out different fields said about one of them "There's where the great Owen Roe lived and died." (This field which I have marked on the Chart is the "Lower Field" in Danny Buckley's land in Park. Johnny Singleton is about 76 years old.- Collector
