Her Mother died about that time and as their servant had to go home with sore fingers Kitty and her sister had to help at the milking of the cows and her father ordered tea for them. There was tea in the house a long time before that but the children or servants or workmen never got it. She had a recollection of her two grandmother's - both were living with them - and the tea was for those. Her mother - God rest her - liked it too but her father never cared about it(continues on next page)
