After I came to live in Knocknagree Patsy (the Lord have mercy on him) and Davy Daly and his wife Mary Healy (the Lord have mercy on them all - they are all dead) and myself were coming along the Coach Road from Killarney. The men had a drop in, and that wasn’t seldom with them, and as we were coming over there along from Taimín Doody’s past the Sruthán and up the little hill beyond that I saw a carriage coming from the east. I was afraid the men who were sitting on the set-lock wouldn’t see it so I pulled the horse in a bit off the road. Well, Mr. Moynihan, the carriage passed and I didn’t see a horse or anything under it but sitting up(continues on next page)- Collector
