    of a "Fairy Stroke". A swelling developed in her arm and when the doctor lanced it Nora died immediately. The sudden death caused a great scare. The poor mother came and immediately from Umeraboy came all of Nora's old neighbours.
    When the mother who was then about 70 yrs of age saw her daughter laid out she said

    "Mo ghrádh 'gus mo thaithneamh
    Mo chailín ceólmhar (?) slachtmhar
    D'Fhuaidigheadh uaim ar maidin
    Agus D'Fhág mé fé bhrón

    A' bhfeiceann tu mná do bhaile
    Do tháinig cúghat go tapaidh
    Le truagh Dhom agus taise
    A Bheith im aonar go deó.
