    Dysart to Dromtariffe. They had to ford Blackwater below the "Man Hole" near Jainevy Cronin's, Durrane, Banteer.
    "Boreen Holey" was main road to Kanturk before Railway was made. It branched Con Sheehan's, Banteer, West, to Kanturk, continued by Flynn's behind Mickey Sullivan's Railway Sta. through Banteer Village to Gortmore.
    Road leading from Ned Lucey's, Banteer West, to top of Derry Mountain was made by Father burke Parish Priest of Banteer in 1824 - This was a "Turf" road.
    An old road led from Danny Collins farm, Knockhack to James Mc Feering's, Knockatuden, through Lyre, Nadd to Cork.
    (1) Mass Path from Denny Matt O'Sullivan's, Shronelcha, through Canon's boreen to Banteer
    (2) Mass Path from Dunch + Nightfield Banteer to Chapel ield at Inchidaly, Banteer. There was a law suit about this Mass Path and when one of the witnesses, Mag. Kelleher, was asked how long Mass path was there, she replied, "From the beginning of the world."
    An old Road led from Cornell's. Cloncullen to Nightfield. Races be held in Nightfield + this was the road + the races.
    Clonmeen Road + Gilchan's Clonmeen, was thickly populated when Old Old Gorge Grehan, grandfather to present Major Grehan, came to live there but he sent all the people to the mountain to come by the good land himself. He bought "over the heads" of the tenants.
