   Another field is called "Páirc na Crocadh" because Cromwell hanged three men there long ago.

   Another field is called "Páirc na bPoll" because the holes there are thought to be trenches which were dug there long ago, at the time of Knocknanuss. Another field is called the "Orchard field" because there was an orchard there long ago.

   Another field is called the "Cottage field" because there was a cottage there long ago.

   Another field is called "Cill na Fada" but no one around knows why it was called that.

   Another field is called "Páirc na Láimhe Deise" because there is the print of a man's right hand on a rock there.

   Another field is called "Teampaillín" because there was a church there long ago which was removed to Castlemagnier.

   Another field is called the "battle field" because the Irish troops lost a lot of men there at the battle of Knocknanuss and nearby Alister MacDonnell was killed at a ford on the Abha Beag called "The Chieftain's Ford."

   Another field is called the "cabblers" field because a cabbler lived there long ago.

   Another field is called the "pooka field" because the pooka was reported(?).

   There is a field in Ballyrushion called "Cill na Fada". I dont know why.
