    When I lived in Liscarroll
    Which I called my native home
    I thought myself as happy then
    As a king upon his throne
    But now that I am far away
    And strangers on me frown
    Oh! who'd blame me to shed a tear
    For Sweet Liscarroll Town
    'Tis there you'd see fine horses
    Fine carriages and cars
    And gentlemen of honour
    Come there from foreign parts.
