  1. Kilquane or St Quane's Church is situated in the parish of Mourneabbey, Co. Cork.
    It was formerly a Friary being founded by St. Quane in the 15th century, but, destroyed in the of the 17th century and still in ruins.
    Attached to the Church is an old graveyard about which many legends are told, the following being the principal one.
    In the graveyard opposite the Church is a large stone about 6 feet by 2 1/2 feet and very thick called the "Sinner's Stone" or "Cloc na Peacaigh." There is a circle about 4 inches in diameter in this stone, and this was used for the purpose of convicting or acquitting criminals in the following way.
