  1. "Travelling people still call to my home and have been doing so for many years. Some of them are poor and sell small articles such as:- pins, laces, studs, and tie-pins. The people of the district buy these things from them sometimes. The travelling folk obtain their supplies from the towns and villages they pass through. Some of these poor people are very rarely welcome to this district. Few of these generally beg for food. They accept money, food and clothing sometimes from the people as alms. Some of them travel singly on food and more travel in families in caravans. The names of the best known are Patrick O'Connor, locally
