  1. There is a field in Mr. FitzGibbon's farm, Corbally, Glanworth, known as "Páirc an Mhurdail". It is said that a man and his Son were working in the field one day. A dispute arose between them, which ended in a fight. The son hit the father with the spade and killed him. The field is called "Páirc an Mhurdail ever since.
