    De Barry for the Canons of St Augustine. An equestrian statue of Philip done in brass was erected in the church. No trace of it can be found. The endowment of this Abbey was further increased by David Óg in 1235 the same who founded the Friary in Buttevant. Many are the strange and historic tales that cluster round the historic walls of Cill-na-Mullach. To recount even a tithe of them would occupy a good sized volume for they seem to grow more and more exaggerated as time rolls on.
