He held the candle himself. After that he had his supper, the people noticed that he would talk to them all the time but he would never answer a question they would ask him.
Then a bed was prepared for him and he went to bed. In the morning when they got up they found the man was better and the priest was dead. Then the people were in a bad way and they went to Fermoy and told the priest there.
He said he would come out with them and see if he knew him. The priest came to the house and when he saw him he said he never saw him before. Many people came to see the priest but nobody knew him.
He was buried in Glanworth. The priest in Fermoy said that he was going to put the spell on the old woman, and he did not want to put it on the man's wife and he had to put it on himself.- Collector
