Ar an leathanach seo

Enough was baked for a week. Generally they cut flour squares on the top of the cakes, because when this is done they get more heat. Bread was generally baked in a griddle and sometimes in a pot oven. The bread made on the griddle was called griddle bread and it was as hard as a stone.
People generally had barley bread for Easter although the other bread was just as good.
