- There was a boy who was sent to a butcher's shop to buy hearts, livers and lights.
As he went along he met a man who was sick and the boy was saying for fear he would forget his message, "hearts, livers, and lights", so the man who was sick thought it was his own "heart liver, and lights he was wishing for. So he went after him and gave him a beating and he told him to say "that they may never come up". As the boy went on further he met people who were planting potatoes and he(continues on next page)
