  1. Long ago the old people had special days for working and sometimes they would not do a certain thing on a certain day. There are certain days sometimes now but they are not as strict as they were long ago.
    Monday was a day of washing, Tuesday a day of churning, Wednesday going to the Market, Thursday ironing the clothes, Friday sewing the clothes, Saturday cleaning up the house and polishing the shoes, Sunday a day of rest or sport.
    Tailors would not cut suits of clothes on Monday, and people would not get hair cut on Monday. The old people would not skin a beast on Monday and it is said that if they did they would be skinning
