- There is one field on my farm which is called the "Bell field" because there is an old bell in the field which used to call the men to their dinner and supper. The bell is very old now and is of no use. The land was owned by a gentleman names Mr. Gumbleton.
Another field was called the "Kiln field' because there was an old kiln in the field in the time of Mr. Gumbleton. The kiln was used for burning lime. The kiln is of no use now and all the walls are knocked.
There is also a field on the farm which is called "páirc na abha because it is on the bank of a river.- Collector
