    chisel, hammer, punch and drill. The smith shoes horses and asses. He makes gates, hooks, part irons and other small implements. The smiths were nearly always looked upon as being strong. The shoeing of wheels is done in the open air. The water in which the iron is cooled makes a good drink for a broken winded horse.
