They go round to the houses singing "Mr .... is a very good man
And to his house we brought the wran
The wran the wran as you may see
Is guarded up on a holly tree
A bunch of ribbons by his side
And the Cobh boys to be his bride
Although he's small his family's great
Rise up good people and give us a treat
Hurrah me boys Hurrah "They then knock at the doors and generally the people of the house give them money and they divide it between them.
