  1. One night some men were at a card party in a friend's house. After the party they went across the fields towards their home. They had not gone far when they heard a loud cry. They looked around because they thought it might be a train for they were near the railway line. As they looked around a very old looking engine flashed by at an amazing speed.
    In it were a strange and quaintly dressed crew with large sacks on their backs.
    The men looked at each other in amazement when the train had gone. When they reached the main
