of the guests were unable to return home. Some of the guests went home on foot, and one man had to pass Clonmult schoolhouse to get to his house, and to his great surprise the snow being so high he put his feet down the chimney of the schoolhouse. He is known as Pad the miner ever since.

About two years ago we had a very big storm. It knocked a lot of big trees all over the country.
The road from Mogeely to Castlemartyr was blocked with them. After the storm we had a very heavy downpour of rain and all the country was flooded with it.
Last June three years we got a severe thunderstorm. The lightning killed seven sheep belonging to Mrs O Shea of Ballygibbon.
