an old forge and it was supposed to be haunted. One night a man was passing along the Park road and a huge black dog came out of the forge. The man did not take any notice of the dog but in the end when he saw the dog was following him he caught up a stone to throw at him. The dog suddenly vanished through an old wall which surrounds a protestants house.

Long ago a fair was held in Mount Uniacke and it was called "Aonach a Leasa". At this fair faction fights were held and many people got killed there. It was on the first November day that this fair was held and since then lights can be seen on the first night of November in the direction of Mount Uniacke from Gathard cross and from the Park road. The Landlord of my townland lived in the Park house and his name was Mr O'Farrell. There was a publick house at Joyce bridge long ago. It was in the townland of Kyle and one night a fight was held there and one man got killed there. The place is now haunted and it belongs to no person.
