- I have no churn at home but a churn is kept by Mr. Leonard who lives not far from my house. The old name for a churn in my locality was a meashar or a cuigheann. The length of the churn is three feet and the height of it is three feet. The name of a part of the churn is the beaters. There is a glass on the top of the churn and the name of the person who made it is on the side of it.Butter is made twice a week in Summer and once a week in Winter.
