    he got them on the farms. When the lanlord would come to put the people out of their houses they could not put them out because they would have briars around the walls of the houses. Sometimes the lanlord would go in through the (houses) windows and bring them out. One day the landlord and his men came to put some people out of their houses and when they arrived the pople were cutting corn with seythes. The lanlord tried to take them away but one of the men drew his scythe and cut the head off one of the lanlords men. The man was put to jail for two years and made work very hard binding corn. One day people called O'Briens came to a house to try and put the woman out and when they could not get her out they got horses and whipple-trees and pulled the house down her and ever since they had no luck.
