   At the side of the knell on the road to Clonmel Paddy Hegarty kept a "nate" shebeen He sold pig's meat and bread He kept fine lodging beds And was liked in the country he lived in And Judy his wife as they struggled thro' life On week days Pat mended the ditches On Sunday he dressed, In a suit of the best, But his pride was an old leather breeches
