    Mix 1 pint white wine vinegar
    1 Ib brown sugar
    6 eggs with shell
    Cork and shake and it is ready for use next day. A table spoonful is taken for nine mornings fasting, no other food or drink is allowed during that time except black tea.

  2. 2 Earache
    If any - (got) one got an earache he would melt fresh unsalted butter put it on black sheep's wool and insert it into the ear. People believed that there was a special cure in the wool of the black sheep.
    3 Bleeding nose,
    When a person had a profuse bleeding from the nose he rolled up a piece of paper very tightly and pressed it under the upper lip. This stopped the flow of blood.
    4 Jaundice,
    If anyone got the jaundice some member of the household would boil a brown
