    it is said that a fairy wind comes in May and a stormy wind in December. It is also said that the Eastern wind is not good for man or beast.
    If curlews fly low in the sky it forecasts rain. If crows are cawing it is a token of fine, dry weather.
    When cattle huddle together it is a sign of rain. If the donkey turns his back towards the North it forecasts rain.
