  1. My mother told me that there was an old school not far away from my house. A great many scholars used to come to this school. There were two teachers in it. The Head teacher was Miss Harnett and she used to stay at Drumcollogher every night. Mortimer Kineally was uncle to the family of the same name who live in the townland of Knocktoosh. Mr. D O'Callaghan ex - teacher of Dromcolloghr boys who was a native of Boola, Broadford was also teaching in this old school. Mr Thomas Buckley of Knocktoosh taught there for a short time before he went to Kilbolane
