- Pishogues Pishogues were a custom in Ireland long ago and it is supposed that they are handed down from the druids. Even though they were common in ancient Ireland they are not so much heard of now. It is said that one time there was a family and they were as it was said, able to work 'Pishogues'. Somebody told the Parish Priest of the place so he went to the family to make them stop working the Pishogues. He told the woman of the house to go out and bring him in a briar growing out of the two ends. Ofcourse this was unnatural, but she went out and found the briar she(continues on next page)
