    all their property with them such as beds, poultry, pigs and sheep.
    During the night those people slept in the school, and during the day the scholars were taught there. Even though it was poorly built and the teacher very poor all the pupils were very good scholars. Children were taught there until the year 1800 [?]
    There is not a sign of this old school there now but there is a cottage built in the same field. My father told me this story.
