    a thorn got stuck in its leg so it very painful and sore. After a while the poor little donkey was not able to walk. St Ita became so angry that she cursed the tree out of which the thorn grew and so to this day the thorns of this tree is growing downwards. This tells us how the saint had a great regard for dumb animals.
    Other people say that some people from Tournafulla drove away the donkey by sending a dog after him. The dog tore his skin and frightened him. It made
