"Lúpa Donn" is a shallow hole and the water is nearly always brown because the ground is very soft and brown around it. "Clais an Aifreann" is a deep glen between two hills in the border between this parish and Monagea. Mass is supposed to have been celebrated there in the Penal Days. "The Giants Rock" is a large stone about a ton weight on the side of a hill. It is supposed to be thrown from a hill. about three miles away by a giant and the sign of his large hand is still to be seen on the stone
