The story relates how John Fitzgerald had a cow which was about to calf. He meant to tell his workman to leave the cow in the cabin for the night but forgot it. About midnight, thinking the cow was in, he went to have a look at her, and then he found his mistake, and calling the workman they proceeded to the field where the cows were.
