    The summer time is the busiest time for the smith because at this time a lot of wheels require to be banded. This is about the heaviest part of the smiths work it is (about the heaveiest part) carried on in the open air and usually near a stream of water as there is a plentiful supply of it needed to cool the wheels. The smith supplies all the material required in his work and then bills his customars once a year usually between October and Christmas.
