- There is an old graveyard at Ballyelan in Tim Noonan's field. There is ruins of a castle in the same field. It is said that the Danes built the castle. A short distance away in the same farm there is another small graveyard. It looks to have been a fort as there is a circular mound around it. Children were buried in it long ago. There is a railing around it to keep out cattle. There is a Killeens also at Kilmihill about a mile and a half south of Ballingarry. Unbaptized children were buried in it and the shapes of the graves are to be seen there yet. I tis in a fort in Ned O' Keeffe's land.
There is a tradition that a church was formerly a short distance east of where the Killeens is.
It is thought that it was that church gave the name Kilmihill to the townland.
